Quran speaks to the heart and this will be even manifested in the heart of a disbiliever

During the Makkan period of teaching, when the quran was recited in the Kaba, the disbelievers would make all sort of loud noises in disrespect so that even the genuine listener will not be able to hear.

Sumayya (RA) the first Martyr of Islam

Summayya bint Khayyat(RA) is the firs martyr in IslamAmong those who sacrificed life for faith of Islam, a woman comes first. Her blessed name is Sumayya (R.A).

Earlier Muslims had to sacrifice a lot to keep their faith. Among the sacrifces, Sumayya (RA) was a woman companion of the blessed Prophet (SAWS) who had to give up her life for the faith.

Yasir (RA) and his wife Sumayya (RA) belonged to a poor family. Ammar(RA) was their son.

Not your deeds but the mercy of God

If you do good deeds, will it take you to heaven?

Prophet (SAWS) once told this story:
Long ago, there was a survivor from a ship wreck. He was saved in to an island. In the island he was all alone.

This person was a man of faith. When he was thirsty he looked around for water and found a spring where he could drink from. Continue reading

The Prophet of Mercy

Overlook others’ mistakes – A Bedouin’s story

This incident shows how forgiving the blessed Prophet, may peace be upon him, to the mistake of others:

During the early days Prophet’s (PBUH) masjid floor was barely sand.

One day, a Bedouin came to the masjid of the Prophet, peace be upon him, in Medina. He urinated in the middle of the masjid.

Several of the Companions, may Allah be pleased with them, got very upset at this sight and angrily came up to him, trying to get him to stop. Continue reading

The rich and the poor in Prophet’s (SAWS) company

It was a usual meeting. Rasool Allah (saw) was in his place and his companions gathered around him to hear the words of wisdom and guidance.

A rich person dressed in clean and elegant clothes arrived in the presence of Rasool Allah (saw) and sat down before him. A short while later, a poor person wearing old and tattered clothes, appeared, saluted the assembly: “Salamun Alaikum” (Peace be on you)!

Do not lie and you will be all fine

This incident from Prophet`s life show how compassionately he handled the people in ignorance. One companion who was in error honestly follows the Prophet in a single advice and it makes him righteous.

Once a man came to the prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.) and said, “Oh prophet of Allah, I have many bad habits. Which one of them should I give up first?” The prophet said, “Give up telling lies first and always speak the truth.” Continue reading

He is unknown on earth but well known in heaven

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:

Allah Almighty loves from among His creatures the purest, the unknown and the innocent ones; those whose heads are not combed, whose faces are dusty and whose stomachs are empty; those who are not allowed to enter the courts of the leaders and the kings; and are rejected if they should ask the hand of wealthy girls. If they are absent nobody would ask about them and once they appear no one is pleased to see them; when these people become sick no one visits them and once they die none attend their funerals.

The Prophet was then asked: How can we meet one of them O Messenger of Allah?
